The Jewish Jordan @ Posnack!

Jonathan M., Staff Writer

Fischer High School held its first Lunch and Learn in September with Tamir Goodman. Tamir was a high school standout at the Talmudical Academy of Baltimore where he averaged 35.4 points per game as a junior. He became the 25th best high school player in the country and Sports Illustrated thus dubbed him,“ The Jewish Jordan”. Although he received multiple offers from schools like the University of Maryland, his religion came first and he decided to move to Israel to join the IDF, thus finishing his basketball career.

At Posnack, he talked about his career at large, stories about his early life as a young man, his struggle with the media during his junior year, and the kind teammates that were always by his side.   Tamir is also the brother of Posnack’s own Rabbi Adi!
