The U.S. Open took place in New York in September, and a new champion was crowned. 19-
year-old Bianca Andreescu beat Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams, with 6 U.S Open titles herself.
Andreescu is the first Canadian player to ever win a Grand Slam, a huge achievement in itself. On the
men’s side, Rafael Nadal chased after his 19th Grand Slam trophy, with Daniil Medvedev as his opponent.
In an epic battle lasting over 4 hours, Nadal stood victorious. Although Medvedev lost, his hard court
the season was the most consistent of any player on the ATP tour, making numerous finals in various
tournaments.
